The parents were imported from Japan one year ago.  This has been a full year outside in a tub, now the fry are being raised outside, with live foods.  Full life cycle outside, above ground.

They've spent the year outside.  Waking up for the spring, they've been fed a few time.  I was cleaning their pond and the females sprayed eggs.  Spawning in 53F!  We had a huge storm come through which kicked them and a bunch of fish in the garage into spawning mode.  Did a few specific crosses but very very low fertility at 53F.
