180 Gallon Truvu

Swapped out 6x 29 gallon tanks for a 180. It's plumbed to drain and to the main goldfish system.

Here's what it looked like when it was installed originally.

Resealing my first 6 foot tank for the 3rd time

I first saw this tank at the cichlid hobbyist's house who sold me my first african cichlids when I was 14. The tank had a colony of brundy frontosa. We caught a dozen fry from the tank and I was on my way. After high school he took up gold mining so I bought the tank and put my frontosa in it. It's been in every one of my fishrooms. This is the third time I've resealed it. It is a 1979 all glass 100 gallon (72x18x18) with 5/8 inch glass. It is plumbed to the central goldfish system through a 1" bulkhead and to drain with a second bulkhead. It has a very primitive frame, well trim actually so I'm going to put in eurobracing around the top so I can put better lids on it.
Here is one of the hockey pucks from the bulkhead holes. A great tank resealing article.

The Original Clear Zebrafish: Beyond Blingless

This line is called “Beyond Blingless” and was developed by Znomics Inc. a now defunct biotech company in Portland, Oregon.  It’s was a clear line but it utilized Albino^b4 which is a deletion line that is very weak in comparison to Nacre alleles making it difficult to produce.
