Ranchu Breeder's Social XII

Enjoying Gary's new pond.

Hunting the Great Black Midnight Shubunkin.

My favorite Midnight.  White Lightning.

Wow.

Black and Blue with a bit of yellow for good measure.

This fish looked mean.

Sorting fish.

Tosakin.

Mita Ranchu.

Nice Tail.

Same fish different view.

Nothing like sorting Matsuyama in the morning.  I brought 10 home, they were spawned on 8/8/8.

A smaller group this year but we had a great time, Thanks Gary!

Putting It All Together

The pond is holding water, has two 2 inch bottom drains/stand pipes
and works out to 2,100 gallons.

The filtration will be housed in a 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank
but that might wait until spring as fall is on it's way.

A few more of Su's Pictures

Su's Pictures of Fish at My Booth at the Portland Koi and Goldfish Show

Sue is an excellent photographer who visited my booth at the Portland
Koi and Goldfish Show this past July.

She was kind enough to send me few of her shots to share.

Building Mark's New 2,000 Gallon Goldfish Pond

This is the second pond we've built this way with a few new additions
including cemented posts.

The sides are made with cedar fence boards cut into 2 foot lengths
which are attached to the top and bottom 2x4 rail.

There will be a one inch layer of styrofoam sheet between the wood
and the liner for a little protection and insulation.

The dimensions are 8 feet wide x 20 feet long and 2 feet deep.
